DC Fast Electric Chargers

DC current means direct current. In the batteries of vehicles working with electrical energy, energy is stored as DC. On the other hand, for DC devices, the power taken from the electrical network is alternating current. For this reason, charging stations must have a DC-AC converter (inverter) for fast charging. Thanks to the alternating current converters drawn from the station, it is converted to direct current and transmitted directly to the battery of the electric vehicle.

In order not to overload the batteries of the electric vehicle and to preserve the efficiency of the batteries, the amount of current supplied is automatically reduced by the device when the charge reaches a certain level. For DC devices, the time required to charge the battery to 80% is equal to the time required to charge from 80% to 100%. In this way, the life and efficiency of the battery is also preserved.
